CVS Pharmacy must rely on prescription drug sales to remain in business, but Wal-Mart doesn't have to add a massive markup to the prescription drugs they sell. When all factors are considered, however, I would have to say that the prices charged at CVS Pharmacy and Rite Aid Pharmacy may be comparable. Most drugs need to get stored at exact temperatures, so one from the things pharmacists learn as part of pharmaceutical quality training could be the necessary steps to help keep the facilities clean and in compliance with regulations.
